The Senior Financial Analyst will join a team of professionals that form Business Financial Planning & Analysis Group.  This represents a highly visible role enabling business leaders to achieve strategic and financial targets and to interact with senior leaders and shape company actions.

The position will provide financial modeling, forecasting and analysis, and recommendations to support more informed decision making.  Candidates must possess ability to model complex business questions, analyze potential outcomes, and recommend actions to senior leadership.  The Senior Financial Analyst will support or challenge a direction, highlight trends and areas of concerns related to an industry, line of business, or region, and communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders. 

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and will have interaction with executives at a 2B public company. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial modeling,     forecasting, reporting, and analysis using software tools and applications
  • Research and analyze     quantitative and qualitative data related to customers, industry,     competitors and products
  • Transform key insights into     actionable recommendations and communicate findings to cross-functional     stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Partner with business team to     develop business cases to support all major financial decisions
  • Create and present business     cases and findings to Senior Management
  • Ad-hoc business modeling and     analysis
  • Lead and participate in     enterprise level special projects
  • Facilitating financial review     meetings with multiple business units
  • Ensuring effective finance and     cost management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related     area
  • Master’s in Finance,     Accountancy or MBA desired
  • 5+ years - Financial planning     and analysis experience
  • Highly quantitative and     data-driven; experienced using data-driven analyses to solve large,     complex business problems and quantify opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to build     and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis,     and problem solving
  • Advanced analytical skills and     an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing     environment
  • Strong verbal and written     communications skills; ability to clearly communicate complex issues,     insights, and recommendation and secure buy-in from stakeholders across     the company
  • Ability to manage multiple     projects (complete life cycle)
  • Ability to present findings and     recommendations to management
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft     Excel, Access and Powerpoint?
  • Experience with COGNOS, Oracle     or other Business Intelligence tools desired
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
