Job Description:
“Own it” is a core value. In this position, the Union Payroll Specialist is expected to “own” the position, which means flexibility to set a schedule that meets the company’s deadlines and the autonomy to control the payroll process in an efficient and effective manner.
The Union Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing timely and compliant weekly payroll and reporting. This position plays a crucial role and requires a strong attention to detail and extensive union payroll knowledge including wage scales, prevailing wage, Davis Bacon Act, union pension reporting, garnishments, and various other tax laws.
Excellent multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills along with the ability to handle difficult, sensitive, and confidential information properly will be required.

Job Responsibilities
Knowledge and experience in calculating blended L&I overtime wages.
Compile, complete, and send all Certified Payroll Reports to various municipalities LPC Tracker, and L&I’s website.
Process union and non-union employee changes including, but not limited to rate increases, W-4 withholdings, direct deposits, garnishments, and 401k deductions.
Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Identify resources and education to stay current with union Master Labor Agreement, rates, and Washington and Federal basic labor laws.
Assist with union audits.

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations for WA and Oregon.

Process 401k payments.
Ability to handle difficult, sensitive, and confidential information properly.
Knowledge of union reporting
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience required
Minimum 3 years of union payroll experience required (Prevailing Wage, Construction and multi-state experience preferred)
Certified Payroll experience required
Paylocity, Service Titan, and Sage experience (preferred)
LCP Tracker Experience (Preferred)
